This residential project, a West London Victorian terrace with a modern glass extension, included an integrated kitchen with custom made doors with recessed handles. The colours, a warm pine green contrasted with soft pink alcove shelving, sit harmoniously with a pippy oak veneer kitchen counter and bespoke patinated brass and oak draining shelf that clamped to the RSJ beam overhead which we designed to maximise useable surface space. A palette of earthy tones and rich colours informed this interior. Mid century oak furniture, coarse cork tiles, vintage grain sack and linen and smoked glass wall lamps created layers of natural warmth and texture. Walls were all painted in neutral warm greys from Paint & Paper Library were the backdrop to the hits of jewel greens, peacock blues in upholstered vintage armchairs The clean lines of the modern glass extension to the rear of the house required some softening so we made some lightweight loose weave linen curtains with an endearing gentle crumple that added just the right amount of ‘relaxed’ to the space.
